Cairns Festival

28 Aug - 6 Sept - Our region’s annual event will this year celebrate TNQ’s rich cultural diversity with a 10 day program spanning arts, entertainment, music, dance & community collaborations.

There will also be plenty of live music from local and national visiting artists, including crowd favourite, TROY CASSAR-DALEY in a free concert - as well as a sprinkling of new, community-based activities destined to engage audiences of all ages and backgrounds. 

Throughout the week Cairns Festival will celebrate Cultural Diversity Week with exciting community events presented by local multicultural groups. These include the Japanese Community Association, Pacific Communities Council FNQ and PNG & Wantoks Association.

Events will include a range of cultural weaving, markets, food stalls, dance, music and performances to name a few.  Cairns Festival has a focus on regional excellence in performance, visual and interactive arts and community engagement featuring talented local artists, performers, businesses and cultural groups in a professional setting.
